Pub­lic Transport

Train sta­tion «Kerz­ers Papil­io­ra­ma». The entrance to Papil­io­ra­ma is locat­ed 80m from the train station.


High­way Yver­don-Bern, Exit Kerz­ers. Fol­low the signs in the direc­tion of Lyss. Papil­io­ra­ma is locat­ed around 0.7 km out­side of Kerz­ers, next to the main road.

A park­ing lot run by the com­mune of Kerz­ers is avail­able in front of the Papil­io­ra­ma entrance. Price: CHF 4.- per car, to be paid at the entrance. You will receive a coin. 


The Papil­io­ra­ma is locat­ed near the See­land Veg­etable Trail and at the inter­sec­tion of the region­al cycle routes 94 (L’Areuse-Emme-Sihl) and 44 (Le Jorat-Trois Lacs-Emme).

Access is pos­si­ble via paved, traf­fic-free paths. A bicy­cle park­ing lot is avail­able under the vis­i­tors’ entrance.

Jungle Restaurant

The Jun­gle Restau­rant offers a wide range of cold and hot home­made dish­es, as well as drinks, desserts and snacks. 

Pic­nics are allowed in the des­ig­nat­ed zone, as well as on the out­side premises.

In our beau­ti­ful shop we offer you a wide range of nature relat­ed prod­ucts: books, toys, clothes, jew­ellery, hand­i­crafts, spe­cial­i­ties and much more. There is some­thing for every taste and every price range. 

By the way, you can also shop in our shop with­out vis­it­ing the exhibitions. 


Dogs are not allowed in the exhibits and vis­i­tors facil­i­ties. This is also valid for guide dogs. On the one hand dogs can be a stress fac­tor for the ani­mals liv­ing with­in the exhibits and on the oth­er hand these ani­mals can also be dan­ger­ous for dogs.

For dogs there is a “Dog Hotel” under the entrance bridge. The large enclo­sures are equipped with a water dish. This ser­vice is free of charge, how­ev­er a deposit of CHF 20.- is request­ed when pick­ing up the key at the reception.
